The Offs

"First Record" Vinyl LP

This is an original 1st pressing of the only album from these San Francisco/NYC punk legends. Released in 1984 on CD Presents (CD 025) on BLACK vinyl (there were later pressings on clear and on white vinyl). The Offs were SF punk faves (The Dead Kennedys played their 1st show with them in 1978 and their song 'Everyone's a Bigot' appeared on Alternative Tentacles legendary 'Let Them Eat Jellybeans' comp). The Offs then moved to NYC and fell in with the art/music crowd: Keith Haring, Richard Edson (Sonic Youth's 1st drummer, who also plays on this album), the Warhol crew and the late Jean Michel Basquiat, who did the sleeve and labels for this album.
