THE ONLY ONES - "Baby's Got A Gun"
This is an album by the British punk/rock band The Only Ones titled "Baby's Got A Gun". Released in England in 1980 on the CBS Records label. In stereo. #CBS 84089. Length: 39:02, 12 songs. From this record came the singles "Trouble In The World" and "Fools". The record is in new condition because it has not been played. This has been stored upright on my album rack in my home. I worked in the entertainment business here in Hollywood and got a lot of records for free. Sometimes duplicates. The jacket and all white sleeve inside are in excellent condition. The Only Ones were an English rock band formed in London in 1976, whose original band members are Peter Perrett, Alan Mair, John Perry, and the late Mike Kellie. They were associated with punk rock, yet straddled the musical territory in between punk, power pop and hard rock, with noticeable influences from psychedelia. "Baby's Got a Gun" was their third and final studio album. Following the continued lack of commercial success with their previous studio album Even Serpents Shine (1979), and having self-produced both of their studio albums up until that point, it was decided that it was time for a slight change of pace in the Only Ones' career, giving their music a more contemporary sound. Guesting on the album would be Penetration's lead vocalist Pauline Murray. The album peaked at No. 37 on the UK Albums Chart, becoming their best selling studio album.
