The Orb – Bicycles & Tricycles is the pioneering British electronic group’s atmospheric and eclectic 2004 studio album, blending ambient, dub, trip hop, downtempo and experimental electronics. Led by Alex Paterson with collaborators including Thomas Fehlmann, Simon Phillips, Jimmy Cauty, Witchman and MC Soom T, the record combines hypnotic grooves, deep bass, spoken word and psychedelic textures. Highlights include “Aftermath” featuring MC Soom T, “The Land Of Green Ginger (Rmx),” “Hell’s Kitchen,” “Gee Strings,” “Prime Evil” and “Abstractions (Trance Pennine Express),” showcasing The Orb’s distinctive approach to immersive electronic soundscapes. This special Record Store Day 2026 reissue is presented as a 2LP set on red and black smoke vinyl, limited to just 2,000 copies. Issued by Cooking Vinyl under catalogue number COOKLP298C1, the release is made in Italy and features artwork by Duster with layout by Sara Jane Morley. Mastered by Andy “Hippy” Baldwin at Metropolis Mastering, this visually striking edition brings a cult early 2000s Orb album back to vinyl and makes an appealing collectible for fans of ambient, dub, electronic music and The Orb’s influential catalogue.
