Description
This is the first vinyl release for The Osmond Brothers, at that time consisting of Alan, Wayne, Merrill and Jay (no Donnie or Jimmy yet). Their roots were as a novelty family barbershop quartet, that genre still somewhat popular in the late 50's and early 60's (it fit alongside Doo Wop). They ventured to Southern California in 1962 to enter a barbershop contest where they were "discovered" singing at Disneyland, which led to a regular slot on The Andy Williams weekly television show. Includes a hard-to-find picture sleeve. The sleeve grades VG++: one 1/4" corner fold; a tiny (less than 1/8") top edge tear; minor edge wear; no edge splits; smooth sleeve; photo and graphics are clear and bright. The vinyl visually grades NM and looks unplayed but play grades VG: it is pressed slightly off center and as a result it plays with a bit of a warble; vinyl is unmarked with inky black gloss; labels are unmarked with bright, sharp graphics and logo. Cool item for an Osmond Brothers fan, the boys at their earliest.
