'An R.G.M. Sound Recording'
This rare Joe Meek produced 1961 instrumental album featuring a young Charles (Chas) Hodges - later of Chas & Dave - on bass, is on the classic mauve HMV label: CLP 1489
Housed in a heavy front laminated, tri-flipback 'Ernest J. Day' printed cover.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' poly-lined inner-sleeve.

A clean & bright set with a collection of light spindle marks & slight wear to each centre hole.
Visual: VERY GOOD
This well played but looked after copy has not been abused or mistreated. Both playing surfaces are clean & glossy with some insignificant light surface marks consistent with careful handling & play. However, there is nothing on either side which I would call a scratch or are there any other sounding marks.
Play: VERY GOOD -
Played many times but without any significant deterioration to the sound quality or indeed any major faults. Some light background is audible on the quieter passages & between tracks but my careful play check at volume found no clicks, pops, jumps or any other serious faults.
Cover
VERY GOOD -
A very bright & solid example with general handling & storagewear throughout. The front panel is clean & undamaged and without any heavy creasing or rubbing. The rear is fairly clean with some light marks and handling wear. There is some missing paper from the upper flipback and small repairs to the lower right. Both seams and the spine are fully intact, unstressed & unsplit.
Inner-sleeve
GOOD
Clean & white with some storage creasing and two tears to one side centre hole but no writing or seam splits.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I carefully play every record I sell on an EMT 950 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.

- All records are professionally & securely in custom-made record mailing boxes with the disc removed from the cover.
