On offer is a unique & one of a kind acetate from a 1960's group : "The Palominos" This acetate was pressed at Illford in the 1960's and is the only existing copy worldwide. One must presume, The Palominos never made it into the actual mainstream pop scene of the 1960's or at least...That this was the one and only attempt to? Regardless....You are a fan of this bygone era & type of sound, or collector of the unique/acetates then this is one for you. Four tracks in total : Side 1 - 1. Stampede 2. Lazy day Side 2. - 1. Twisting blue 2. Say its me Three of these tracks are instrumental & one is a vocal version - Say its me. Sounds like something you would hear from the shadows or a surf beat group, from this era. Or would fit neatly into a Tarantino movie! There are no catalogue numbers or matrix number on the outer rims here. All tracks play at 45rpm. Manufactured in the United Kingdom via Illford Sound Recording Services. Note : this group have NO similarities to the country group of the same name or of the Golden Palominos. BOTH SIDES PLAY AS VG++ WITH ONLY SOME EXPECTED BACKGROUND NOISE. A couple of light ticks on one track, for a few seconds, then this clears up. This is an acetate recording, metal disc. I advise not cleaning this with any harsh cleaning solvents. You need to expect with acetates (incase you don't already know) some background or surface noise. This was made as a test record, and not meant to be played a lot in general. Comes inside a plain black company sleeve, no pic cover or any other relevant info on this lost group! So here we have this unique item & for sure...It'll be the only one you will ever see, LISTED WORLDWIDE!!
