DESCRIPTION: The Paul Butterfield Blues Band - 1st self titled LP. 1st German pressing with heavyweight 178gm vinyl, front laminated flipback sleeve and original Vogue  advertising inner. 

LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER:  Vogue Schallplatten LDVS 17091.

YEAR OF RELEASE: 1965. 

COUNTRY OF RELEASE: Germany. 

CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): VG+/VG. Vinyl is clean with a nice sheen and a few light hairlines.   Played all of this today. Sits flat on the turntable. Sounds pretty much excellent.  Music is clean, clear and loud with just an occasional tick. You will struggle to get a cleaner sounding copy than this. Cover is in clean condition. It is firm and square and has light edgewear (2" heavy to centre of bottom edge) , moderate cornerwear and only creasing.  Decent shape retained to fully legible spine.  Clean rear to sleeve. Faint name printed neatly to top flipback and some damage to bottom flipback- please check out the photos.  Advertising innner has some feathering to die cut centre hole but no splits.  Very clean labels- check out the photos. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears.

GRADING SYSTEM: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades.
