Absolutely steaming self-titled debut from this powerhouse group, originally released in 1965 & featuring Mike Bloomfield, Sam Lay, Elvin Bishop & Jerome Arnold... Lookout!
Bit of an oddity here - etching on disc has a 1976 date, but issue is dated as 1977 due to the labels showing Elektra/Asylum/Nonesuch, the merger of which companies occurred in 1977. So quite likely they simply printed new labels for pre-pressed discs.
The shrink was still sealed on this album when I bought it approximately a decade ago, but the card sleeve was already showing the wear visible at the corners.
