Jacket Text:
The Peacemakers would like to dedicate this album to Mr. & Mrs. Joe Grogan.
We are indeed grateful to be able to share with you this, our first album. The idea for THE SHROUD came as a result of ABC’s 20/20 Program on this now familiar subject. The subject of "The Shroud" has also been covered in detail by P.M. Magazine and in newspapers around the country.
If this is the burial clothes of our Lord or not, is not really important. The importance comes as the words of this song by Edsel Jackson indicate, from what Jesus endured in the death of the cross for the sins of humanity. His Resurrection from the grave then points us to victory to all who will accept His free grace.
The music and words of "I’ll Be Too Late To Pray" and "I’m Headed For Glory" were also written by Edsel. I have been provided the opportunity to hear this group in our church and gospel sings in various locations and have seen their dedication to gospel music. I have personally shared with each member on many occasions and am proud to be dedicated to the cause of Christ.
It is our hope that this album will be as meaningful to each of you as it has been to each of us.
Maranatha,
Rev. Jack White
