Description
The Peanut Butter Conspiracy Is Spreading--Columbia LP- CS-9454. This is the stereo version of their debut album, released in 1967. The vinyl has been cleaned using a Spin Clean MK2 record cleaner, with distilled water and the Spin Clean secret formula cleaning solution.:-) The record has been play tested in the Iconikrock basement workshop on an Audio Technica ATLP120XUSB turntable and played through very well on both sides. This group was previously called The Ashes and recorded a little bit on Vault records. Then suddenly they became the studio clone of the Mamas and Papas (they wished). This album actually charted at #196 on the Billboard 200. All of their relatives and the studio employees must have bought the copies. I grew up then and I never heard of them. But anyway this is a solid record for your collection as an example of bad studio influence. Actually Glen Campbell does play a little guitar on this album. The cover is VG due to light ring wear (see pictures), the spine is strong and --on the spine the mono catalog number is CL 2654. Not matching the record label for some reason. But the back cover does have the factory code of 1 low right, so it really does it match. This is a Pitman pressing denoted by the P in the runout. This also comes with the original Columbia inner sleeve (see pictures).
After cleaning and listening to this record we feel we can fairly rate the vinyl as a VG+ player with a VG cover (due to age).
The record will be securely packed and shipped in a cardboard record mailer using USPS media mail rates. Here at Iconikrock we don't just rate our records under a bright light. We clean them, play both sides, clean the cover and put them in a new inner sleeve if needed for protection. We love records.
