The album has a much easier overall vibe than you might think given the participation of the Philharmonic, and it actually has quite a sophisticated, delicate feel in spots, albeit one that often builds into a drum heavy, lavishly funky approach! It's rife with some really sweet Rhodes riffing, and some especially great drum work often in a jazzy funk mode, always compelling and groovy! A true masterpiece!
