This vinyl record is a true gem for fans of big band and swing music from the 1950s. The Pied Pipers' "Tribute To Tommy Dorsey" was released in 1957 on the Mayfair record label and features high-fidelity stereo sound on a 12" LP.
This first edition, collector's edition, limited edition record comes in a vibrant yellow vinyl and includes original cover art. The vinyl itself has been graded as Very Good Plus (VG+), and the inlay condition and sleeve grading are also VG+. This record is a must-have for anyone who loves dancefloor jazz, pop, and jazz music.
This is a rare album. Almost all of these albums we're manufactured by Tops Records. But, Mayfair manufactured this original album in yellow vinyl in very limited quantity. As far as I know, there is only one other like album on the market at the present time and it is selling for over $100. The record plays through with great sound on both sides. However, track one side two has a two rotation click. I inspected that track with a magnifying glass and I cannot find where the flaw is. In any case, the song plays all the way through with no interruption. The side one label has a name tag on it. Please see photos.
