Pink Floyd – The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn

1971 UK - 4th Stereo Issue 12" LP Vinyl Record
Columbia - SCX 6157

Very early 4th Stereo issue, with Black Columbia labels that have 2 EMI boxes, and comes housed in an original flip-back cover, complete with the maroon company inner sleeve.
This is the very earliest of the 2 EMI Box Stereo issues The very earliest of these 2 EMI box pressings, came in a misprinted flip-back cover.  They still have 1/1 first Masters, 1/1 first Mothers and very early 2 digit stamper codes.
Complete, and in superb condition.

The cover is Excellent  The labels are Excellent The vinyl is VG+  (faint lines, and a couple of visible non sounding scuffs - no effect on the audio)
 The audio is Near Mint
Plays exceptionally well, with Near Mint audio.
Fourth stereo pressing.  On black Columbia label with white Columbia logo, two white block EMI logos front and bottom of label, no " Sold in U.K. subject to resale price conditions. See price lists." text on label.

Rare misprinted Flip-back Cover. The Rear cover is white with Syd Barrett drawing with song titles and credits. 
Printed and Made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. This is a rare, misprinted flip-back cover for Stereo issues.  It has only the stereo catalog number on the top right of the back of the sleeve, but it has only Mono care text at the bottom right of the sleeve.

Inner sleeve:  Maroon printing on cream colored paper. On the front side is the EMI logo at the top center, with "Add these outstanding LPs to your collection" at the top, 16 LP covers pictured in the middle including The Beatles-Sgt. Peppers, and "Remember-the new Emitex cleans and preserves your records," and "Patents applied for" at the bottom. On the back side is the EMI logo at the top center, with " - the greatest recording organization in the world" at the top, 16 LP covers pictured in the middle including Pink Floyd-Piper at the Gates of Dawn, and "E.M.I. Records (The Gramophone Company Ltd.) Hayes - Middlesex - England, Made and Printed in Great Britain" at the bottom.

Labels:  Black with silver text, white block EMI logo in small rectangle at bottom and top plus white "Columbia" in large rectangle with lines on each side at top. Text around the top edge of the label starts at 8 o'clock and says: The Gramophone Co., Ltd. All rights of the manufacturer and of the owner of the recorded work reserved. Unauthorised public performance, broadcasting, and copying of this record prohibited.  Text around the bottom edge of the label starts at 6 o'clock and says: Made in GT Britain.
