Description of the record:

This is a single vinyl album by Pink Floyd called “The piper at the gates of dawn”.

Outer sleeve:

The outer sleeve has been graded Ex. 2nd press Garrod & Lofthouse laminated front cover with EMI in corner. White non-laminated back with Syd Barrett drawing. At top fold over of back cover it says "File under POPULAR : Pop Groups." At bottom fold over of back cover it says "6709 TPS Printed and made by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd., London SX 6157 / SCX 6157" (see pictures).

Inner Sleeve:

The inner sleeve has been graded as VG; some discolouration (see pictures). Reddish brown printing on cream coloured paper. On the front side is the EMI logo at the top centre, with "Add these outstanding LPs to your collection" at the top and "Remember-the new Emitex cleans and preserves your records. On the back side is the EMI logo at the top centre, with " - the greatest recording organization in the world" at the top and "E.M.I. Records (The Gramophone Company Ltd.) E.M.I. House, 20 Manchester Square, London W.1. England. Made and Printed in Great Britain" Patent No.1,125,555 at the bottom (see pictures).

Labels:

Black Columbia labels with silver text, white EMI logo in small rectangle at bottom, and another one at the top of the label above the Columbia logo. At the top is a white "Columbia" logo in a large rectangle with lines on each side at top. Text around the top edge of the label starts at 8 o'clock and says:

The Gramophone Co., Ltd. All rights of the manufacturer and of the owner of the recorded work reserved. Unauthorised public performance, broadcasting, and copying of this record prohibited.

Text around the bottom edge of the label starts at 6 o'clock and says:

Made in GT Britain.

Vinyl:

The record has been pressed in black vinyl and has been graded as Ex. This is a 2nd/3rd stereo issue on “EMI Records Ltd” from 1969. The matrix for side 1 is YAX 3419-1 GL and for side 2 is YAX 3420-1 GP. The code for the album is SCX 6157.

The record was graded using a Linn Adikt cartridge combined with a Gyger 2 stylus through an audiophile system. For grading definitions see the bottom of this advert.

The record will be packaged appropriately to prevent any damage from occurring during transit. The record has been removed from its outer sleeve to prevent any damage to the sleeve occurring during transit.

M = Mint

M sleeve: No wear of any kind to the sleeve.

M record: No wear what so ever to the record. Any mint records in this collection will have been played only a handful of times.

Ex = Excellent

Ex sleeve: Some slight wear to the cover; some impression to the cover; no seam splits.

Ex record: Minimal wear; some scuffs; record plays close to perfect.

VG = Very Good

VG sleeve: Some ageing; minor wear to seams or spine; minor creasing, some impression.

VG record: Some surface scratching; some back ground noise but not obtrusive.

Gd = Good

Gd sleeve: Cover in poor condition; seam splits; tears.

Gd record: Surface scratching; back ground noise is obtrusive.
