Up for sale is one (1) The Police - Ghost In The Machine LP from 1981 on A&M Records (#SP-3730). THIS IS A GOLD STAMP PROMO and comes with an ORIGINAL 4 PAGE BIOGRAPHY(on 3 sheets). This is a SUPER RARE Promo copy. NO BARCODE.
STERLING TJ stamped in dead wax on both sides.
This is a First Pressing Promo copy.
The vinyl is in Very Good condition, but has some minor visual surface marks that may cause some surface noise and pops along the way. As is with a VG rating there is going to be a certain amount of surface noise. More noticible during the quiet parts.
I recently played this LP and it SOUNDS AWESOME! Play tested! The labels are in Very Good condition.
The high gloss cover is in Good+ condition with typical wear from age, including, but not limited to fade / peeling spots, corner dings, crumples, ring wear, and there is some peeling on the spine, etc... There are NO split seams or cut outs.The GOLD STAMP is in the upper left rear cover.
The SUPER RARE 4 page biography is in very good condition. Dated September 1981 on A&M Letterhead. Color printing. Printed on thick quality paper. Some very minor corner dings. There are staple removal holes on each page. THERE ARE NO FOLDS OR TEARS. It is actually 4 pages printed on 3 sheets. The 1st sheet is 1 sided, the 2nd sheet is 2 sided and the 3rd sheet is 1 sided.
The custom inner sleeve is in Very Good condition, but has some crumples throughout. THERE ARE NO SPLITS.
I obtained this LP in the mid 1980's. It was gently played back in the day. Not played in over 30 years. I recently played this LP and it SOUNDS AWESOME.
