Up for sale is one (1) The Police - Reggatta De Blanc LP from 1979 on A&M Records (#SP-4792). THIS IS A GOLD STAMP PROMO with HYPE STICKER affixed directly to the cover. This is a SUPER RARE Promo copy.
This is a First Pressing Promo copy. Gold Stamp on rear cover says "LOANED FOR PROMOTION ONLY".
The vinyl is in Very Good condition, but you may hear some surface noise and pops along the way. Even with a Very Good grading there is going to be a certain amount of surface noise. More noticible during the quiet parts.
I recently played this LP and it SOUNDS AWESOME! Play tested!
The labels are in Very Good condition, with some spindle marks.
The cover is in Good+ condition with typical wear from age, including, but not limited to fade / peeling spots, corner dings, crumples, ring wear, and there is some peeling on the spine, etc... There are 2 small tears to the front cover stemming from the opening. There are NO split seams or cut outs. The GOLD STAMP is in the upper left rear cover.
The Hype Sticker is affixed directly to the cover and is in good shape. Directly on the hype sticker it appears the number "10" was written in black marker and then faded over the years. On the back cover the initials AC were written in black marker and faded over the years as well.
The custom inner sleeve is in Very Good condition, but has some ring wear and some crumples throughout that are typical with age. THERE ARE NO SPLITS.
I obtained this LP in the 1980's. It was gently played back in the day. Not played in over 30 years. I recently played this LP and it SOUNDS AWESOME.
