Up for sale is one (1) The Police - Synchronicity LP from 1983 on A&M Records (#SP-3735) with the BANNED COVER . This is the SUPER RARE Brown Translucent Vinyl with DOUBLE NUDE COVER, meaning there are 2 pictures of nude ladies on the cover. THIS HAS BECOME KNOWN AS THE BANNED COVER and BECAUSE OF THIS, THE HYPE STICKER IS ON THE REAR COVER. ALSO HAS MASTERDISK & RL STAMPED IN THE DEADWAX.
This is an Original 1983 BROWN TRANSLUCENT KC-600 QUIEX AUDIOPHILE VIRGIN VINYL pressing. It is also a MASTERDISK RL pressing (Robert Ludwig). Ludwig was a master at mastering and his albums typically sound better than most. MASTERDISK RL stamped in dead wax on both sides. You can tell the brown when held up to a light.
This is a First Pressing Brown Translucent Vinyl with DOUBLE NUDE COVER COPY STILL IN THE SHRINKWRAP WITH HYPE STICKER.
The Vinyl and labels are in Excellent condition. Has MASTERDISK & RL stamped into the dead wax on both sides, signaling a high quality Robert Ludwig mastering. I recently played this LP and it SOUNDS AWESOME.
The cover is still in the original shrinkwrap with the original hype sticker and is in Very Good condiition with typical wear from age, including, but not limited to minor corner dings and slight ring wear, etc... There is a tear in the shrink stemming from the opening in the upper right corner. Has a price sticker removal spot. There is a small double tear/flap in the opening of the cover. See Photos.
The custom inner lyric sleeve is also in Very Good condition but does have split seams on 2 sides approximately 2 to 2.5 inches in length.
I am the original owner. I purchased this new in Chicago in 1983. I listened to it just a few times(maybe 2 or 3 times) back in the day. Not played in over 30 years. I recently played this LP and it SOUNDS AWESOME.
