Description
Very rare original deep-groove pressing of "Roots", variously attributed to the Prestige All-Stars or Idrees Sulieman, on the yellow labels of Prestige 8202. The 8000 series of Prestige recordings had an early start with yellow labels, but then underwent a redesign to purple labels as the New Jazz series. The record is in beautiful condition, with a high luster and nearly flawless surface. The laminated cover is bright and clean, front and back: there is 3 ½" of roughness to the lamination of the bottom seam, but all lamination is intact and there is no flaking; 3/16" break near top of spine; 1/8" wear to bottom corner, at opening.
