"The Progress of War" Broadcast Speeches by Churchill, HMV 78rpm Records, Vol 1

Here we have a very rare complete set of "The Progress of War". A bound set of 7 vinyl 78rpm discs of the broadcast speeches of Winston Churchill May-September 1940, this turned out to be the first volume. The 7 discs include the speeches "In a solemn hour", "The war of the unknown warriors", "every man to his post" and the most famous of all the wartime speeches "This was their finest hour". The presentation set is a first edition made by His Masters Voice (HMV) in 1940 and is album number 348. All the records bear the specially issued Churchill pictorial labels and come in the original brown cloth boarded album. A very rare set of records.

Measurements (approx), they are 12" (304mm) discs

Condition; All the discs are in excellent order and in fact look like they have never been played. Some minor wear to the edges of the album as you would expect but to find this set anywhere is rare and so the small condition issues can be forgiven.

All in all a very rare piece ideal any collector of Winston Churchill memorabilia.
