Up for sale is a very rare 1st press of the extremely influential debut LP from the 13th Floor Elevators.
I rate this LP as VG-/VG.
The vinyl is VG-. it has some surface marks as can be seen in the photos, and a warp on the side of the LP. The scratches cause some crackle throughout, and the warp causes a small "whoosh" noise for the first few rotations. It is worth noting that the warp was sold to me as causing a skip, but I have never had this issue so it might come down to turntable. Despite these issues, it's quite a nice sounding record. The crackle rarely overpowers the music or is too distracting and is only super obvious during the quieter parts of the album and between the songs. The mastering on the record is fantastic, and even with the problems, it sounds much much better than what is on streaming services, and any reissues I've heard. Nice highs and a strong bass.
The sleeve is a strong VG. Some wear here and there and just a couple small creases, and some small pinholes in the corners (it was probably stuck on a teenager's wall back in the 60s!) The colour is nice and clear and the art is quite striking.
