From my personal collection: The Quintet (a.k.a. Quintet Of The Year) - Jazz At Massey Hall

This is the first UK pressing of one of the greatest jazz albums of all time - here's Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Bud Powell. Charlie Mingus and Max Roach playing together for the very last time. "Jazz At Massey Hall" was released on Vogue in 1956 (in the US it came outon Charlie Mingus' Debut label the same year). This is a super heavy microgroove mono pressing housed in a classic UK laminated flipback sleeve. Catalogue no. is Vogue LAE 12031. Includes the original record bag as well.

Please have a look at the pictures---the cover is in absolutely stunning condition, just LIKE NOW. There's practically no edge and corner wear, no spine or seam splits, no creases or laminate loss. In terms of the cover it might just be the best copy in existence, never seen one like that again. It was given to me by my father you got it from a former Vogue label representative, this was his personal archive copy. The vinyl would be near mint too if it wasn't for a few superficial scuffs. Plays near mint on my Ortofon mono system. In terms of the pressing and sound quality this is far superior to the US first pressing.
