The REGENTS Barbara-Ann Original Mono LP Gee GLP 706 1st Pressing Deep Groove 1961
You're bidding on a Original Mono LP by The REGENTS titled Barbara-Ann issued on Gee Records in 1961.
This is a 1st pressing with a Deep Groove label. There is a Audio Matrix stamp and a hand etched 6-14-61 in the
runout groove on both sides. The Record is in VG++ condition with a few surface scratches and marks. It still has
a nice shine and plays beautifully with No groove wear and only a occasional light pop. The Cover is in Excellent
condition with No splits or tears and just some light rub marks and a little dirt. It does have a staple in the upper
left hand corner. I wondered why the staple until I removed the original wax paper inner sleeve and saw the tear
in the corner of the sleeve. The staple was there to prevent removal of the LP until it was purchased since shrink
wrapping LPs didn't begin until mid 1964. If you like collecting original 1st pressing Doo-Wop LPs, you'll love this !
