Description

Just recently I bought a massive collection of 60's and 70's LPs...some are in surprisingly immaculate condition, and some are not, but the original owner (a well-respected Australian vinyl hoarder) was a fastidious collector of the styles he loved - 60's beat/punk/garage, British invasion well-knowns [Beatles/Hollies/Dave Clark 5/Gerry & The Pacemakers/Zombies/Troggs/Rolling Stones, etc..], 70's West Coast sounds, pop-psych and he'd obviously forraged far and wide since there's a flurry of unique South American, New Zealand,Taiwanese, South African, Japanese releases amongst them all.

Here then, is one of the LPs from his collection:

ARTIST:     The ROLLING STONES  -
TITLE:         "GET YER YA-YA'S OUT!" .
FORMAT:     …vinyl LP…
LABEL:         DECCA .
CATALOGUE #:  SKLA-5065  .
DATE OF RELEASE:  October 1970 .
PRESSED IN:    AUSTRALIA .

ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING?:   Yes, it very definitely is!...with only very slight label differences between this and the second pressing: this pressing has a very slightly different typeface - ever so slightly rounder and fatter lettering (second label design typeface uses slightly thinner and taller letters)...also note that the lower case 'a' in the second label design, used within the words 'Jagger' and 'Richard', is indeed styled as 'a', whereas for the 1st label design (this one), it's styled as 'a'...but the most obvious differences is in the use of italics, or not - the second label uses NO italics at all, whereas this first label has the production credits, and turntable speed in italics. See pix to compare...the last picture here is a relevant section of the OTHER label design.

The matrix numbers in the run-out grooves in both pressings, are identical.

Still has original 60's design red and silver 'unboxed Decca' labels...plus first cover (non-flipback).  .

CONDITION:

COVER: ( VG+ )...very nice copy...front is glossily laminated...back is matt...would be graded way higher if not for some 'bite' marks in the bottom right corner (bottom left on back - has small piece of clear tape there)...may have been a cat perhaps?...see pix...

RECORD: ( VG[+] )...has quite a few light scuffs/marks (only)...plays very well ! ...

LABELS: (Side One: EX- / Side Two: VG++ )...both labels have minor blemishes...see pix...nothing too serious!...

If you have any concerns about the accuracy of my gradings, please check my feedback for the odd nice comment from some satisfied folk out there.... (and hopefully you may be able to join their ranks).

Thanks for considering this item...Cheers, Jules.
