Description
Just recently I bought a massive collection of 60's and 70's LPs...some are in surprisingly immaculate condition, and some are not, but the original owner (a well-respected Australian vinyl hoarder) was a fastidious collector of the styles he loved - 60's beat/punk/garage, British invasion well-knowns [Beatles/Hollies/Dave Clark 5/Gerry & The Pacemakers/Zombies/Troggs/Rolling Stones, etc..], 70's West Coast sounds, pop-psych and he'd obviously forraged far and wide since there's a flurry of unique South American, New Zealand,Taiwanese, South African, Japanese releases amongst them all.
Here then, is one of the LPs from his collection:

ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING?: No...I know the VERY first UK stereo copy had the UN-boxed Decca labels (Decca changed from UN-boxed to boxed label logo in early 1970)...however, this one has the very same matrix numbers as that same UN-boxed copy I've seen...so they must've been reasonably close together...

Cover has the mono/stereo 'peep-hole' on the back at top right. Also relevant:

With the words on the back at lower right: "Sleeve printed in England" - This one is found only on covers having the Mono / Stereo hole in the upper right corner. In use probably 1969 and 1970". To quote that website above.

LABEL DETAILS:
Has "ffss FULL FREQUENCY STEREOPHONIC SOUND ffss'' in silver panel below Decca logo. Deep matt blue and silver SMALL-SIZE labels (same size as used for 7" singles - 91mm in diameter as opposed to the usual 101mm.). Has production and manufacturing 'credits' below band name in upper case lettering (on UN-boxed labels, this is in lower case). It's all in the pix anyway!
MATRIX NOs. ON RUN-OUT GROOVES (to repeat, these are exactly the same as on the original 1st.press UN-boxed copy I've seen):

POSTER:
Comes with the original poster insert in EXCELLENT condition. Nice to report that it comes with no tears, pin-holes or tape/blu-tac marks (meaning: no sign of it ever having been used). Just has some light scuffing along the lower centre-line fold mark plus a couple of small and light 'foxing' stains (just above Charlie's head), and a small crease on the edge between the words 'rolling' and 'stones'
This is the original poster for the 1st stereo press, on slightly glossy light-weight paper (NOT the later matt heavier-weight paper), with the 'Poster designed by Victor Kahn' text, supposedly only found on early pressing posters (some say first pressing posters only...I'm not sure of this myself).
INNER BAG:
Correct inner for this era pressing, complete with recording info. This is the third version, without any mention of the London Bach Choir in the credits for "YOU CAN'T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU WANT".
CONDITION:
COVER: ( VG++ )...beautiful...has some minor creases on the front (mostly along the spine)...and on the back, just a couple of equally small creases near the centre of the opening edge, and some very light 'foxing' spots...plus one tiny 'dot' tear near the opening edge at left (see pix)...
RECORD: ( VG )...has many LIGHT marks...nothing heavy at all...plays very well indeed...with only some light crackling (most apparent between tracks)...it's very much a great listen still...
INNER BAG: ( VG++ )...has some creases and light fading...
LABELS: (Side One: M- / Side Two: M- )...so close to mint - it's just a few light spindle marks that cause the drop from M to M-...

PACKING:
Don’t worry - I'll pack anything you buy VERY CAREFULLY to make sure it arrives in EXACTLY the condition it left here. More specifically, in the way I'd like to receive parcels myself. VINYL: All LPs come packaged carefully in solid corrugated card packaging designed specifically for LPs, plus the LPs are housed in clear plastic sleeves. The record itself is ALWAYS removed from cover ( except for SEALED LPs) for shipping to prevent seam splitting, and placed alongside the LP cover (inside its own inner sleeve, OR in an extra sleeve to keep in secure) within the clear plastic sleeve, which is then sealed. Likewise 7" singles/EPs are packaged the same way too - well protected. POSTERS: All posters are rolled within outer protective paper that extends well beyond the actual length of the poster to avoid any crushing of the ends, and then packed in a very sturdy solid-card mailing tube - packed carefully to allow no room for any movement of the item inside.
WE MAIL OUT AT LEAST THREE TIMES A WEEK.
