Description
Selected titles from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. Titles offered by this Seller are one-owner and came directly from the pressing plant, record company warehouse, other label reps or record store unless otherwise noted.
Grading is based on visual inspection.
Album ships in a 2 MIL poly cover sleeve and 2 MIL poly inner sleeve.
I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.
New and vintage vinyl is hard to grade strictly using eBay’s system because the record and the cover are two different components. Therefore, I call a record new and mint if it is opened but has never been played. I use the grading category to describe the cover condition.
- "That Acapulco Gold" was released as a single in 1967 and it immediately hit the Billboard chart. However, when radio stations discovered the song was about marijuana it was pulled off the air and dropped from Billboard. Hence, an instant garage rock classic.
- This is the only album this Colorado band ever released.
- This was only the second album released on the UNI Records label that went on to sign Neil Diamond and Elton John.
- John Carter and Tim Gilbert were the songwriters and they also wrote the 1967 hit "Incense and Peppermints" by The Strawberry Alarm Clock.
- This copy has never been played.
- It is a First Pressing of the stereo version.
- It is on thick vinyl.
- The paper-on-board cover has tight seams and a couple corner bumps.
- The white generic sleeve is included. I have added a soft poly inner sleeve.
- This is a one-owner that the Seller got new in his record store in 1969. It has been in storage for almost 50 years.
