Description
Up for auction is a very nice copy of The Replacements LP Let It Be. I would conservatively rate both the vinyl and cover VG+ (could probably be an EX-). Unfortunately, I am currently unable to play test but the last I recall it sounded great. This is the original release on Twin Tone records.
RECORD GRADING GUIDE
MINT (M): Perfect. This record looks like it has just left the manufacturer with no flaws whatsoever. No scuffs or scratches, blotches or stains. No stickers address labels, writing on the covers or labels. No tears or seam splits. No wear to the cover or record period.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
Unfortunately, my wife accidentally snapped the tone arm off of my turntable while dusting, therefore I cannot play test any of my records for sale. I feel my ratings are accurate, if not conservative. Due to previous bad experiences with selling CDs on Ebay, I cannot accept returns on any items (I’ve had people return scratched up CDs that skip after I sent them a mint copy). Unless otherwise requested (and paid for), I will ship all albums via USPS Media Mail which can sometimes take a while to arrive.
