Description
In the coming months I will be listing some records from a DJ from the Bay Area, who worked for KSAN in the 1970's. Guess most sellers would save the good stuff for later in a group listing of items, but here it is: An original Santa Dog from The Residents from 1972, their debut release. Most of you who are shopping this, know the story of the mysterious band members who choose to retain anonymity. This is a supposed edition of about 400, with 300 or so usable copies, of which they had a problem originally with the lacquers used on the graphics of the cover, where the lacquer was not fully cured & some records were glued together & many of the gatefolds were stuck shut. This is not one of those. The cover does have the darkened areas where the lacquer clear coat has pooled, which gives these special originals their character. There is a ding to one upper spine area corner (very small). Along with some very light opening edge wear to the tips. Minor but should be visible. There are light wear areas to the spine & edges (very slight). The sleeves appear to be original with some slight staining. The vinyls appear to be unplayed, unmarked. NM- or better. Buyer to pay $4 first class mail shipping along with a requirement for signature service delivery. Insurance is your option. International buyers please don't ask for lower value on your customs form. This will be well packaged, enjoy!
