In Great Condition
Very good condition, 1977 pressing, vinyl LP of the amazing
second album from the proto punk / art rock group The Residents
entitled ‘The Third Reich N Roll’.
All 28 songs are contained on two sides, side one entitled ‘Swastikas On Parade’
and side two ‘Hitler Was A Vegetarian’. This is the bands tribute and
massacre of 1960s pop rock, covering everything from James Brown’s
‘Papa’s Got A Brand New Bag’, British hit ‘Telestar’, ‘Psychotic Reaction’
‘Land Of A Thousand Dances’, ‘Hey Jude’ and everything in-between.
There’s even some of the first examples of sampling with a German version
of ‘Let’s Twist Again’.
Truly a great rare find of a real piece of American performance art on record
