The Residents. Production print for the back cover of Third Reich n’ Roll. [San Francisco]: [Ralph Records], [1976]. 17 1/2 x 23” [image size 11 3/4 x 11 3/4”], offset litho on card stock. Perhaps an alternate cover, or for a later and unseen edition of the album, featuring a six-pointed star incorporating a swastika and eagles.
Provenance: from the archive of Residents associate Kerry Hinck; the poster was given to Hinck by the Residents in return for legal services performed for the group.
Small stain or area of fading to margin, previously rolled with a couple light handling creases, else very good.

On Nov-14-17 at 10:07:58 PST, seller added the following information:Addendum: an ebayer has sent a message suggesting that this might be tied in or related to the film that was released in conjunction with the album (considered one of the first music videos) which I've not seen. Whether or not this might be an alternate version of the back cover referencing the film which wasn't used, or whether this was made for a poster for the film is unknown to me - but feel free to send along any theories and I'll be glad to add them to the description for posterity.
