Description
For auction is "The Resurgence Of DEXTER GORDON,' on Jazzland JLP-29, MONO, DG, 1960.
SOUND: VG+
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Overall, the sound is very solid. The only flaw is a few random, soft tics here and there. All rather minor, nothing that distracts or interferes with the performance. I have no reservations about the VG+ grade. A delightful listen!
VINYL: VG/VG+
There are light scuffs or hairline marks either side. Under bright light, these appear to all be superficial. None are feel-able. The record plays a notch better than it appears. The deep-grooved, orange Jazzland labels are beautifully clean, with a few very faint spindle marks.
JACKET: VG+
The edges and spine are solid, in very nice condition. Three corners are nice with minor, routine wear, and the upper left is a little frayed. Front is clean and unmarked, in very nice condition. Same thing with the back, with a "promo" stamp.
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.
This is a great record in very good shape, plays very nicely. No reserve, bidding starts at $24.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
