Description
For sale is first pressing of Sprinsteen's The Rising. Released on Columbia and with Brendan O'Brien as producer of the full E Street Band line up.
The whole package (records, sleeves and cover) is truly in excellent condition; I boughr it on CD at the same time, and the latter was listened to on commutes, whilst the vinyl stayed on the shelf, unscathed and almost umplayed. Seriously, I reckon this album has been played end-to-end no more than 20 times, ever.
Vinyl itself is basically perfect. Little played, little dust, little static, zero marks round the spindle holes. The pics are repesentative of the condition on all sides (check them out as they form part of the overall description also).
The outer sleeve cover and inserts are unlaminated yet exhibit no marks, scuffs or 'absorbtion' of anything. There are a couple of superficial 'dents' which proved too difficult to highlight on camera. As such, I've placed a pencil to point out the two marks that have occurred over the last 21 years.
The inside of the sleeve appears to have some sporadic discolouration, for about a fingertip's-distance in, but nothing of any consequence. Again, see the last couple of pics. Ultimately, I'm trying to highlight the shortcomings of a record whose condition is what I wish all my other records were as good as!
No marks, no bends, great quality, great sound, great gauge of vinyl. Happy bidding.
