Description
Welcome to my listing of 18 x LP Vinyl albums by The Rolling Stones. These all belonged to my Dad, he has now been dead for 30 years and I’m trying to move things on. They have been stored in the old-school leather cases for said 30 years.
I am not a vinyl collector and don’t have a player so I can’t test them, however I cannot see any major marks on any of the records that would make me think they are in anything other than very good condition. There are a few light marks on some, others look almost new.
Typical static has attracted dust and there are a few finger marks - I’ve given them all a wipe with a microfibre cloth but they are pretty clean anyway.
In terms of pressings, these are definitely old, as I said they’ve been stored for 30 years and are likely to be originals. I have a list of the codes I could find along with the titles included below:
Jamming With Edward - COC39100
Black and Blue - COC59106 A2/B1
Some Girls - COU39108 A3/B3
It’s Only Rock and Roll - COC59103 A2/B2
Their Satanic Majesties Request - TXS103
Aftermath - SKL4786 4W/5W
Around and Around - SKL/6315-P X/1X
Beggar’s Banquet - SKL4955 1K/1K
Between The Buttons - SKL4852 6K/4K
Metamorphosis - SKL5212 1W/2W
Goat’s Head Soup - COC59101 A2/B1
Stone Age - SKL5084 1D/2D
Out of Our Heads - SKL4733 1W/1W
Made in the Shade - COC59104 A3/B1
Get Yer Ya Yas Out - SKL5065 4W/1W
Through the Past, Darkly - SKL5019 1W/2W
More Hot Rocks - 2PS 627
High Tide / Green Grass - TXS101 7503/7504 6D
Wear:
Around and Around has a patch on the top right of the cover, where a sticker appears to have been taken off and taken some of the laminate with it.
Jamming With Edward had a small rip in the cover and inner sleeve (see pic). This is about 5mm long.
Goat’s Head Soup has some damage to the back of the cover. See pics.
More Hot Rocks - Both illustrated inner sleeves have split at the bottom seam. Not all the way across, about 4 inches. The LPs don’t fall out.
Otherwise these are generally as you would expect to find old records; some wear to the edges and yellowing to the card covers. There are some minor marks on a few of the records but no deep scratches and most appear to be very good except for the typical dust that is attracted to them.
Postage will be free with Royal Mail Tracked 48.
