Description

Up for sale is this original authentic first pressing of The Rolling Stones ‘Exile On Main St’ issued in 1972 in The United States in true near mint- condition. This album came from an audiophile collector who played the new releases a few times on audiophile equipment back in the 1970’s & then carefully stored them away from the elements for many years. Both records played amazing today on my Thornes td 320 turntable all the way through with that first pressing stereo analogue magic you only hear on these pressings mastered from the original stereo analogue master tapes done in Los Angeles. You have not heard ‘Sweet Virginia’ in its full glory until you play this record. There is some light ticks & pops between songs.  Over the years this album has never been remastered analogue from the master tapes.  These records are Monarch pressings & have the Artisian logo on all sides. This pressing is considered the best sounding of them all. The fragile unipak cover is in excellent shape with only a tiny bit of edge wear & 4 square corners. The 12 original postcards are all still attached & in great condition. Also included are the original cardboard inner sleeves, but the records are in poly lined plastic sleeves for protection. Also included is this 1982 vinyl pressing of ‘The Beatles Collection BC 13’ box set in all looking unplayed Mint- condition with great looking covers. This album will be professionally double boxed for protection through USPS priority mail. Thanks Frank
