STONED London 9641 Promo 45 1964
1964! London Records gets into the British Invasion. This is The 1st 45 by The Rolling Stones to Be Released in The USA and Maybe the whole western hemisphere! A Top 20 Single in the UK "I Wanna Be Your Man" b/w "STONED".Brian Jones' Guitar Solo is amazing and gets the attention of Bo Diddley Himself! Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, they hadn't finished it yet, Then after a chance meeting with The Stones Manager , Andrew Loog Oldham they finished it off, teach it to the Stones and were on their way. Released in The USA in Febuary 1964 (I have seen some stamped w/ Feb. 17 1964) No One paid Much attenion and the 45 was pulled. Then The Next Stones 45 Came out as "Not Fade Away" b/w "I Wanna Be Your Man" this was a Top 50 Single and the Stones just kept Rolling!
