Description

An original 1st mono press of Aftermath on the UK Decca label. Matrix 4B/6A. Stampers 1-IG/1-HM. Please note label design is consistent with 1st pressing from 1966 and exhibits the Decca deep groove. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Robert Stace printed cover. Also included is the original Decca inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+/Ex-) In great condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection the are a couple of light marks per side, and one superficial trial - nothing heavy that will cause significant issue. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback with two deviations. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All I could detect was a bit of light static in a couple of tracks per side [e.g. in Lady Jane - as is very common]. The deviations... are a couple of isolated clicks in the opening section of track 1[side 1]. And then, just in the very final track of the LP, there's a touch of distortion starting to creep into the audio. But a very enjoyable rendition of this Stones classic at 1st issue. 
Cover (Vg+) In very nice condition and has survived the years in decent condition. The front looks sweet with just a bit of laminate lift in a couple of spots - better than many examples. The rear has light tanning - difficult to avoid totally on this title. Edge wear is relatively light and the text on the spine is just about all legible. Overall the cover still retains very good rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Lightly aged. No splits. Name written atop the rear.
