The superb sounding & hard to find 1st STEREO pressing dates from initial April 1966 release.
On the 1st variation deep-groove blue & silver Decca label: SKL.4786
Matrices: XZAL-7209-2W & XZAL-7210-2W
Stamper codes: 1/H & 1/H
Vinyl weight: 142g
Housed in a front laminated stereo cover printed by 'Robert Stace' & original poly-lined stereo inner-sleeve.
CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT +
Clean & bright with a small number of barely visible spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Immaculate deep-gloss playing surfaces which are unmarked in strong daylight, revealing only a few harmless wispy paper hairlines and a sparkling rainbow shine directly beneath halogen light.
Audio: MINT -
Carefully played on top-quality equipment only, all tracks play cleanly & clearly with no trace of any groove/playwear. There are no clicks, pops or any other audible issues on this scarce stereo edition which will not disappoint.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
A very respectable example of this fragile cover which due to it's thin card is extremely difficult to find in anything approaching this condition. The front panel is immaculate and unworn with no 'thumbnail' wrinkles or any other signs of wear. All corners are sharp & unbumped and the opening edges are undamaged. The rear panel has some handling marks but is otherwise free from any writing or missing paper. Both seams and the spine are fully intact and undamaged.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Light storage wrinkling only.
