The Rolling Stones Beggars Banquet 1st UK Press Unboxed Stereo 2K/1K.
This 1968 classic sees a return to their blues and country roots, spawning killer tracks like 'Sympathy for the Devil' and 'Street Fighting Man', that have remained firm fan favourites and regulars in their set-list for over half a century. This album deserves pride of place in any serious record collection.
This is the VERY first UK stereo pressing with unboxed labels, without the speed listed, and 2K/1K matrix.
VINYL: The vinyl itself shows signs of wear, most notably on side one, which has a feelable scratch running across the whole side (see picture). This causes some mild surface noise and a handful of random brief skips across the side. This is a shame because aside from that it mostly sounds great. Side two plays well and is only accompanied by the usual light surface noise in between tracks.
LABEL: The iconic dark blue unboxed Decca labels look stunning.
SLEEVE: The original laminated Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold sleeve is in really decent condition for its age. It has a few light creases and a few rub marks on the spine but generally it is free of writing and tears. A great example!
This record is not for the audiophiles but it still sounds great and is becoming increasingly rare! Grab a bargain today!
