Description

An original VERY 1st STEREO press of BB on UK Decca. Matrix 1/1 - very earliest cut and hard to source. Stampers 1UM/1CG - 1st mother = excellent audio provenance. Lovely heavy pressing and is the absolute earliest week 1 variation. Label design perfectly in line with the very 1st copies. You will notice, unlike on nearly every other copy, there is no mention of the soon to be issued JT tax code change. Note how SFM and PS appear on same line . This is not really the correct layout for BB. All tracks should have their own line. The vinyl comes housed in an original stereo gatefold cover. Again, this is the very earliest iteration with "Patent Pending" bottom right on the rear .There's also the original Decca inner too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. AND WHAT A COPY!
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In great condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, Excellent level of playback with one deviation per side. Intros and inbetweens are really quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Hardly any background at all...one of the cleanest feeds on a Decca original I've had the pleasure to witness. A couple of ticks in one isolated spot per side [e.g. SFM] - hardly worth mentioning!. Little to disappoint, here, in reality. A cracking rendition of this Stones classic - from a NEARMASTER COPY. HIGHLY APPEALING. Sympathy - outragously good.. you just haven't heard tis track until your hear it on a copy like this! You gotta hear tracks like Prodigal Son & Factory Girl [OMG] on a copy like this...literally breath-taking. Listen to the whistling in the background - you don't really get to witness this without a super clean rendition. GUARANTEED TO BLOW YOU AWAY - or your money back...I most certainly have never witnessed better...
Cover (Vg+) Lovely clean surfaces and does not appear to have aged too much [but clearly not fully white anymore - a shade off]. Sticker removal mark top right... The rear has escaped the worst of the ageing process. The interior looks superb. Overall - very presentable for the vintage. Spine 70% intact - a wear patch for 1c.m. at the top end....and a 5mm wear-patch nearer middle. All text fully legible.  Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) No splits. Bag present.
