Description
An original boxed copy of BB from 1970 on the UK Decca label. Matrix 4K/4K. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Robert Stace gatefold cover. Also included is the original Decca blue and white inner dated to 1970. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. And a beautiful copy of an LP which was released 50 years ago last month!
Vinyl (Ex+) In absolutely marvellous condition and has really only seen the lightest of use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is very minimal. All we could detect was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated spots - i.e. very little at all. This really is a clean playing copy which allows that very decent early Decca audio to shine through..
Cover (Ex+) Wowzers - this is just one of those covers you dream about...the time-machine one's. No idea how it stayed in this kind of condition - I suspect it must have just been archived. A lovely perfectly white shiny front - quite possibly the best I've ever set eyes on. And the rear isn't far behind [baboom!] - absolutely spot on.. no marks and barely even an indentation - 'mirror like'. The interior is absolutely immaculate. Edge wear is super light and the spine is 100% intact with no sign of folding at all. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity and is certainly in 'FINAL UPGRADE' territory...
Inner (Ex+) Super lightest of ageing. No splits or markings. Barely a crease either.
