Description

Early UK stereo pressing of Beggars Banquet on blue unboxed Decca labels, SKL 4955.

Includes the original RSVP gatefold-style inner, which is a major plus. This is a well-loved copy, with visible surface marks and previous owner writing from the mysterious John Brace, who clearly wanted absolutely everyone to know this was his copy.

Playback is not quite as clean as the other Stones LPs in this batch, but it still plays through well with no skips or sticking. There is background crackle and the occasional pop, as expected from a visibly used late-1960s Decca original. Playback clip included to demonstrate the actual sound.

A solid, honest early UK copy of a classic Stones album.
