The Rolling Stones – Between The Buttons (1967 Original UK Mono Pressing)

Up for auction is a genuine, first-year UK Mono pressing of the fifth studio album by The Rolling Stones, released on Decca Records. This highly collectible Mono mix (LK 4852) features the hard-to-find XARL-7644-3A and XARL-7645-2A matrix endings, capturing the true punchy, raw 1960s sound that the stereo versions completely miss.

AUDIO QUALITY (PLAY-GRADED)
This vintage album has been conserved using a comprehensive 3-stage deep cleaning process including an ultrasonic wash, a rotational brush bath, and a final precision deck brush clean.

The record plays very well with a remarkably clear, loud, and dynamic sound. The classic Decca mono mix cuts cleanly through the room. There is visible surface wear which causes some noticeable background crackle during playback, primarily during the quieter transitions and track intros. However, the music itself remains sharp, powerful, and thoroughly enjoyable to listen to. No skips, jumps, or sticking.

VISUAL CONDITION
The vinyl grades visually as Very Good (VG) showing honest surface wear, light hairlines, and paper scuffs under bright light consistent with a well-played 1960s relic. The iconic red unboxed Decca labels are bright, clean, and legible. The early factory Mother/Stamper markings (C and R codes) are visible in the dead wax area.

The sleeve grades as Very Good (VG). It retains a nice presentation on the front laminated artwork, with typical minor age-related storage wear, light edge rubbing, and some mild spine creasing. The unlaminated back cover shows natural age toning but remains clean with no heavy writing or major splits.

Why buy this copy?
Original 1967 UK Decca Monos are becoming harder to find in playable condition. If you want a deeply cleaned copy that lets you experience Brian Jones's multi-instrumental tracking exactly as it was intended to sound in 1967—without the heavy price tag of a mint archive piece—this is an excellent addition to your shelf.
