I have had this record for decades - I would say since the 1970's. It's an early UK pressing - probably pre 1970. It's stereo. Matrix numbers are X7AL-7503 4W and X7AL-7504 3W, and the tax code is JT, which means pressed after November 1968.
I grade the vinyl as VG on the Goldmine rating scale. It has obvious surface scratching. I have listened closely to the entire album with headphones on, expecting to hear a number of clicks and pops. However, the record played through with barely a defect. In fact, I noticed only one small click on a quiet section of music, and a couple between tracks, but perhaps with better ears and grade A equipment it might be possible to hear some. There are spindle marks - mostly on side 2. Based on hearing, it sounds VG+, but visually definitely only VG.
The cover and inner photo pages are intact - no tears, stickers, loose pages or ringwear. It's probably VG+, I would say. There is some slight creasing and pressure and very minor abrasion along the bottom of the cover, but nothing significant.
So, if you want a good listening copy, this might do the trick, but if you want a pristine collectable early pressing, this is probably not for you.
Records are packed in a double layer of rigid cardboard, with the vinyl outside the record cover the minimise the risk of compression damage to the cover. An external plastic album cover is included.
