Description

An original 1966 stereo 1st on Decca Unboxed. Harder to source than the 1st mono. Matrix 3/4. Stampers 1U/1C - from within the 1st few thousand copies ever manufactured. Please take note of the deep groove - that's what helps signify 1st pressing. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original stereo cover with the photo pages attached in the interior. Note the interior page with Jagger is glossy - this is only found on the early copies.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and seen relatively light use. Under close examination I could only make a few slight marks - nothing problematic.  A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, Excellent level of playback with a couple of slight deviations on side 1. A great player and plays smooth and clean into even the quietest acoustic tracks [like Lady Jane and Tears]. Highly impressive.. . Maybe a couple of isolated ticks in a couple of spots in HYSYMOTHER...a couple of crackles as Paint It Black starts up...but this track plays SUPERB otherwise.. And just remember most of these hits copies have been played to death...Absolutely super rendition with little to turn your nose up at!
Cover (Ex/Ex-) A really smart looking cover - many are going to be looking a bit beleaguered after 50+ years use. But this one is exhibiting really good colour retention with a nice solid opening panel. Clean and flat with excellent colour retention. Slight edge wear in places. Interior looks great and photo pages are not heavily thumbed. The spine is 95% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
