Description
The Rolling Stones Black and Blue Lp - original Japanese pressing. Sent with Australia Post Standard Service. Please note - due to postage costs and the packaged weight of this record being over 500gms, I will only post to VICTORIA, NSW, TASMANIA and STH AUST. If you need it sent elsewhere, please don't buy it. I sell postage free, and it's too expensive to send further afield.
This record is one owner since new. I remember buying it - it would have been 1976 or 77 at Latrobe university. Those were the days! It's an original Japanese pressing. (As far as I'm aware). Japanese pressings used to be somewhat prized, along with US pressings. Don't know if they still are, or whether in fact they are usually any better than the Aust. pressings. It has always been kept in a plastic sleeve and played on quality hifi equipment.
I have had a close listen through headphones, and did not hear any imperfections - pops or clicks etc. There are a few minor surface scratches visible under a bright light. I would say that it meets the Goldmine grading criteria as VG+. There is one very faint spindle mark on the label on side one, and similar on side two, but is otherwise without noticeable defects.
The thick cardboard gatefold cover is also in excellent condition. There is very light ring wear on the back cover, and a small tear and creasing at the bottom of the slip off green and red tongue.....don't know what these add ons are called. If you read Japanese, you have the choice of reading the lyrics in either of two languages. I would rate the cover as VG+ also.
Overall, an offering with only minor faults.
Records are sent in a double layer of stiff cardboard, with the vinyl outside of the of the cover to minimise the risk of compression damage. All are located inside a protective plastic record cover.
