Description
An original boxed Decca UK pressing from 1973. Matrix 6A/12A. Stampers 1-I/1-K. This is a pre-oil crisis heavy set pressing and comes housed in an original MacNeill Press cover with pinched spine. Also included is the original mono Decca inner sleeve which is date coded.
Vinyl (Ex+) Shiny like new and has clearly seen only the lightest use. Under close inspection we struggled to make out a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of play back. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Interference is almost totally absent. The only thing we could detect was a couple of crackles in a couple of places [literally]. The audio quality is breathtakingly good and these heavy set mono early copies are by far the best to hear this LP.
Cover (NM) Is in jaw dropping condition - Lord knows how it has remained in this condition. The front is like a mirror and does not exhibit even one single crease. There is no hint of ageing or fading - the image is absolutely pristine [new]. Not to be out done the rear is in sublime condition too - there is absolutely no sign of ageing or marking on the rear at all. Retains all of its original rigidity. Edge wear is non-existent and the openings are still sharp. A practically perfect cover like no other I have seen.
Inner(Ex+) No splits ageing or marks.
