Description

An original 1st press of E.O.M.S. on the Rolling Stones label. Matrix A1/B2/C1/D1. Etching 'Artisan' symbol & 'Rolling Stones Records' on both LPs. The vinyl comes housed in an original Shorewood box design cover. Also included are both square cornered Shorewood inner sleeves. No postcards.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex/Ex/Ex) In excellent condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks on each side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is both minor and infrequent. We detected a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments..e.g. Intro to Sweet Virginia. But even this is minor and peters out quickly. It plays very nice and clean for the most part and this makes for an impressive rendition. Don't under estimate how good these early copies sound..there is no better way to hear this STONES CLASSIC!
Cover (Vg+) These original box design copies are difficult to find in top condition, but this one has survived the years in great condition. Yes, there's a bit of light ageing front and back as is common, but the box is in very nice solid shape. The front does exhibit a couple of creases and a stain over toward the opening - which does not stand out. On the rear there a couple more creases, but nothing noticeable.  The interior is in great condition too no issues. There's some light edge wear but by and large it is in very tidy condition. Overall the cover/box has retained it's shape more so than many other examples..
Inners (Ex) No issues at all. No splits.
