Description

A UK 1st pressing from 1970 on the Decca boxed label. Matrix -1W/-1W. Please note the label layout is consistent with an early copy from 1970 where the design of the label is still in flux. Early copies use the larger font, as apparent here, and do not mention the correct publishing dates 1968/69/70. Only 1970 is mentioned - which is clearly inaccurate! The record is a solid medium-weight pressing and comes housed in its original front-laminated purple edged cover printed by Clout & Baker Ltd..... 100% complete & 100% Original.
Vinyl (Ex+) Is shiny like new and has clearly seen very minimal use. Under close inspection I can barely a see a single mark on either side. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are practically silent and the audio comes across with excellent clarity and barely a hint of interference. There are a couple of very very light crackles at the beginning of 'Love In Vain' - But that really is all I can detect even at high volume. It's worth noting that these early 70's boxed Decca copies do sound amazing - certainly on a par with their 60's counterparts. Beautiful full range sound with bags of detail. Add to this the fact that this LP shows THE STONES at their zenith - and you have a real corker!!
Cover (Ex) Again, has clearly been well cared for. Beautifully shiny front and a rear almost entirely free from ageing. Apart from a couple of ultra light creases there's very little wear at all to mention. The spine is entirely intact and the cover maintains excellent rigidity. A real corker!
Inner Sleeve (Ex) No splits or markings - pretty much free from ageing too.
