Description

On offer is a rare, original copy of “Let It Bleed” from my collection from the 60s, 70s and 80s. This album was released during the period when the Stones were looking for a replacement for Brian Jones, resulting in Keith dealing with most of the guitar work on the album. This was one of their classic albums produced by Jimmy Miller. There are many variants of the album, as can be found on the stonesondecca website. This one has the following details:

Copyright box at left hand side of label.

Aerial looking font style.

Tax Code missing.

Publishers after each song title.

Speed is included in the label.

The non-boxed label design was changed to the box design around the beginning of 1970.

Matrix/Runout (Side Two ) XZAL - 9364 - P - 5W JT

Having looked after the album by storing it correctly and using quality cartridges the album has retained most of its original quality. As always I will provide an honest assessment of what is on offer so that buyer and seller are fully aware. Again, please contact me if you have any questions or comments to ensure there is mutual understanding. Having play graded the album I have graded it as EX overall. There is the expected surface noise between tracks and a couple of clicks at the start the last track on side two, otherwise the album plays with great dynamics and soundstage and, as suggested on the inner sleeve, should be played loud. There are some superficial hairline marks on the surface of the album but they have no effect on the sound quality. There is no visible spindle wear (please see photos).

The outer sleeve is in great condition and has my name written in the top corner on the back of the sleeve providing provenance as to the origin of the album. The inner sleeve is in excellent condition and also has my hand written name in the corner. My only excuse is that, as a teenager, I was very possessive of my precious albums.

The inner sleeve has “With the London Bach Choir” on “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” on the original inserts that were later blacked out due to objections from the choir and then removed altogether on later copies. The label is the original blue unboxed Decca.

Overall, this is a great opportunity for a collector to own a rare copy of one of The Rolling Stones best albums. Packaging and postage will be first class to ensure the safety of the album during transit.

Thank you for looking and please see other albums on offer.
