Description

An original 1st stereo press of LIB on the UK Decca label. Matrix 5W/4W. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original 'Printed in England', pinched spine, peep-hole cover [consistent with 1st issue]. Also included is the original LIB bespoke lyric inner sleeve with the London Bach Choir still showing. Also included is the promotional poster. So, everything's here! 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out  a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. An absolute beauty and certainly within the top few copies I've ever witnessed. Lovely clean audio all the way through which allows even those tricky tracks like 'Love In Vain' to just float out of the speaker totally unhindered. I'd like to believe that this sort of level preservation can be readily obtained..it can't! Only a small number of copies that have seen light use on proper equipment will survive this passage of time in this kind of condition. So, don't under-estimate the level on offer here. I'm struggling to find fault with much at all. I'll do my usual catch-all..you might detect a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. but to all intents and purposes..FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex-) In lovely condition with a nice clean and shiny front which does not seem to have been effected much by ageing, and there's little creasing evident either. Just a touch of laminate lift against that spine edge - practically obligatory on this title. The rear has escaped much of the ageing process - just lightest evidence. Edge wear is very minor and the openings still sharp. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A very very fine example.
Inner (Ex) No splits and precious little ageing.
Poster (Ex/Ex+) Pristine..has definitely not been on a wall.
