Description

This set seems perfectly complete, with all 11 albums, plus the Geo disk, the booklet with holograph cover, original warranty and registration card.  It is number 0988, matching numbers on the warranty card and inside of the box.  The records themselves look to me as if they have never been played, but I am not an expert.  The only signs of any wear are a couple scuffs and a scratch on the box, and some wear on the very ends of the outside of the red paper sleeves which I've tried to show in the pictures.   I have tried to represent everything as best as I can, please ask any questions before bidding, or if there is something else you'd like a picture of just message me and I'll try to accommodate.  Thanks for looking- below is the original retail description of what this is.  


11 Classic Stones LP's pressed on "JVC Super Vinyl" for optimum sound. Housed in a gorgeous hard box with The Rolling Stones engraved in red and a nice ball-lock to close it up when not in use. Includes large full color book with 3-D cover and all artwork from the LP's and more. All LP's house in thick individual red sleeves with thick inner sleeves. Nice felt bottom so it stays firm and does not scratch any surface. Also includes "Geo-Disc", a precision cartridge alignment system in excellent shape and housed in custom sleeve in box. Still after all these years,THE final word on Rolling Stones Audiophile pressings. Includes these classic albums: The Rolling Stones, 12 x 5, Out Of Our Heads, Aftermath, Between The Buttons, Their Satanic Majesties Request, Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed and Get Yer Ya's Ya's OutHot Rocks (2 LP's). The original master Rolling Stones tapes, from which the music in THE ROLLING STONES collection was transferred, were meticulously tracked-down by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab in both England and America. Altogether, more than 60 boxes of recording tapes were examined and auditioned, until the genuine original masters were discovered. The first three albums ("The Rolling Stones", "12x5", and "Out Of Our Heads") were originally recorded in the mono format, while the next six albums were recorded in true stereo. (next it talks about "Hot Rocks" being a compilation of mono and stereo tracks that they "transferred from the original master tapes...carefully spliced together by MFSL's engineers.") We exclusively utilized the original (British) Decca master recording tapes, except for "12x5" and "Out Of Our Heads", which were originally recorded in America and first released by London Records.
